This document approves the joint venture between Shanghai Commercial Development Company and Hong Kong Shanghai Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. to operate Shanghai Dongfang Commercial Building Co., Ltd., applying the policies stipulated in the State Council's reply on foreign investment in commercial retail (Guo Han [1992] No. 82).

国务院关于上海东方商厦<br> 有限公司问题的批复<br> 国函〔1993〕109号<br> 上海市人民政府：<br> 　 你市《关于要求确认上海东方商厦有限公司为沪港合资商业零售企业的请示》(沪府<br> 〔1993〕6号)收悉。现批复如下：<br> 　 原则同意上海商业开发公司与香港上海实业有限公司合资经营上海东方商厦有限公司，实行《国务院关于商业零售领域利用外资问题的批复》(国函〔1992〕82号)所规定的政策，请将可行性研究报告报国家计委审批，合同、章程报对外贸易经济合作部审批。<br> 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 国务院<br> 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　 一九九三年七月二十三日
