据中国驻菲律宾大使馆消息，6月19日，中国和菲律宾两国执法部门合作抓获遣返2名在菲从事博彩业并实施绑架犯罪的嫌疑人。6月22日，中菲双方再次合作遣返2名参与2023年10月薄荷岛绑架案的嫌疑人，该案受害人已由中菲警方合作解救。中方将继续坚定打击跨国犯罪，保护在菲中国公民生命财产安全。
