6月13日，2026年文化和自然遗产日主场城市活动在湖北武汉开幕。活动聚焦“文物属于人民 服务人民”主题，集中展示文化遗产保护传承新进展新成效，促进提升全社会文物保护意识，让人民群众共享丰厚历史文化滋养。<br>
开幕式上，公布了2025年度文物事业高质量发展案例遴选推介名单、“文物安全守护人”名单、2026年度中华文物新媒体传播精品推介项目名单，邀请致力于文化遗产保护传承的各界代表进行主题讲述，展示湖北文物传承发展成果，为“寻绎夏商”主题展览揭幕。<br>
在文化和自然遗产日期间，还举办了主题论坛、第六届文物科技创新论坛、第二届全国大学生文物保护法模拟法庭等系列活动。<br>
除主场城市系列活动外，各地文物部门、文博单位组织开展丰富多彩的文化和自然遗产日线上线下活动，推动文物惠民服务，丰富群众文化生活。<br>
该活动由国家文物局、湖北省人民政府主办，湖北省文化和旅游厅、湖北省文物局、武汉市人民政府承办。<br>
