Chinese scientists, using lunar samples from the Chang'e-6 mission, have revealed that the types of asteroids impacting the Earth-Moon system shifted significantly between 4.3 and 2.8 billion years ago, with carbonaceous asteroids appearing later than previously thought. This finding provides new scientific evidence for the origin of Earth's water and the orbital dynamics of the solar system.
