2021年4月8日，新区管委会主任刘广阳主持召开新区管委会二〇二一年第六次常务会议。 会议传达学习了习近平总书记在参加首都义务植树活动时的重要讲话精神，研究新区贯彻落实意见。会议要求：一要深刻学习领会习近平总书记重要讲话精神；二要高位推进生态文明建设；三要全力打造城市宜居环境。 会议通报了关于赴成都考察学习城市环境品质提升情况。会议认为，成都市按照习近平总书记关于建设公园城市的指示，主动对接国家部委，采取灵活有效措施，打造了一批精品亮点，极大提升了城市环境品质，值得新区学习借鉴。会议要求：新区要深入学习领会习近平总书记公园城市建设的有关论述，全面提升新区市容环境建设水平。一是要高标准规划；二是要灵活操作；三是要加大投入。 会议还审议了其他事项。
