2019年1月29日，新区管委会主任双德会主持召开新区管委会二〇一九年第二次常务会议。 会议审议并原则通过了《关于调整葵涌中心小学用地范围的请示》。会议认为，教育医疗是重要的民生，关涉长远，应规划先行，逐步推进落实，确保绩效。会议要求，请新区公共事业局会同新区城市更新局、市规划国土委大鹏管理局，结合新区发展实际，统筹谋划，制定全区教育医疗事业发展规划，明确新区教育医疗布局和学校、医院建设方案，持续推进，统筹有序落实。 会议还审议了其他事项。
