8日上午，市政协七届三次会议举行选举大会。大会执行主席葛承书、袁文键、陈奇春、吴少珍、江少明、陈锐彬、林春霖、柯东风、韦子庆、李丽曼等在主席台就座。市政协副主席袁文键主持会议。 经过选举，葛承书当选为政协第七届揭阳市委员会主席，韦子庆当选为政协第七届揭阳市委员会副主席，王晓滨、曾增伟等当选为政协第七届揭阳市委员会常务委员。
