This document mandates a preventive closure of all poultry wholesale markets and poultry trading areas in agricultural markets in Guangzhou for three consecutive days each month from January to March 2017, in response to the elevated risk of human infection with H7N9/H5N6 avian influenza. During the closure, all live poultry and fresh poultry trade is suspended, and no live or fresh poultry may be stored on site.

穗府规〔2017〕1号广州市人民政府关于禽类批发市场和农贸肉菜市场禽类交易区预防性休市的通告2016年10月份以来，我国江苏、浙江、福建、广西、湖南、广东等省份相继报告了人感染H7N9\/H5N6禽流感病例。近期我市禽类交易市场外环境禽流感病毒阳性率明显上升，且我市2016年12月份已发现3例人感染H7N9禽流感病例。鉴于目前正处于人感染禽流感疫情高发季节，为进一步加强人感染禽流感防控工作，降低市民感染风险，根据《中华人民共和国传染病防治法》《突发公共卫生事件应急条例》《广东省家禽经营管理办法》等有关规定，结合人感染禽流感防控专家评估意见，定于2017年1—3月，每月16日至18日（连续3天）对全市禽类批发市场和农贸肉菜市场禽类交易区实行预防性休市。休市期间，市场停止一切活禽、光禽交易（不含冷冻家禽产品），市场内不得存放任何活禽、光禽。 广州市人民政府2017年1月7日 公开方式：主动公开
