5月30日，国家体育总局与广东省人民政府共建国家羽毛球学院启动仪式在广州隆重举行。国家体育总局副局长、党组成员刘国永，广东省委常委、副省长王曦出席。 国家羽毛球学院按照“省部共建、多方支持、协同联动、共担共享”的原则组建，旨在落实建设体育强国、教育强国和粤港澳大湾区等重大战略。学院以培养羽毛球高层次专业人才为中心，聚焦高层次人才培养、竞技水平提升、训练基地建设、科技赋能创新、交流合作与文化传播等关键问题，充分发挥省部协同联动机制优势，力争建成高水平单项运动学院，为汇聚中国羽毛球发展新动能提供人才和智力支撑。
