3月23日，副省长许瑞生到位于韶关市翁源县的广东核工业教育基地调研，参观土法炼铀生产线遗址、下庄希望铀矿陈列馆等，重温我国核工业起步那段艰苦而又光荣的岁月。 许瑞生强调，翁源下庄为我国第一颗原子弹爆炸作出了重要贡献，我们不能忘记曾为此付出青春韶华乃至生命的地质工作者们，不能忘记他们为中华民族伟大复兴所作的贡献；要按照爱国主义教育基地的标准和要求，进一步丰富基地展览展示内容，切实把基地建设好、运营好；要深入挖掘下庄的核工业历史，挖掘那段历史背后的生动故事、鲜活人物事迹，丰富党史学习教育素材，并加大宣传力度，弘扬下庄精神，传承红色基因。
