The first Hualong One nuclear power unit in the Greater Bay Area, Unit 1 of the CGN Taipingling Nuclear Power Project in Guangdong, has commenced commercial operation, with an estimated annual power generation of over 9 billion kWh, sufficient to meet the annual electricity needs of one million residents in the region.
