The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) published an advance notice of proposed rulemaking (ANPRM) seeking public comments on imposing export controls on specific brain-computer interface (BCI) emerging technologies, including neural-controlled interfaces and direct neural interfaces.
