Announcement on Regulating the Import Management of Recycled Steel Raw Materials

This joint announcement by five ministries specifies that recycled steel raw materials meeting the national standard GB/T 39733-2020 are not classified as solid waste and may be freely imported, while those not meeting the standard are prohibited from import. It also provides the corresponding customs commodity codes and sets the effective date as January 1, 2021.
