The 8th meeting of the China-South Africa Science and Technology Cooperation Joint Committee was held via video conference on December 18, 2023, to implement the Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation signed during President Xi Jinping's state visit to South Africa. 2023年12月18日，中国-南非科技合作联委会第8次会议以视频形式成功举行。中国科技部国际合作司司长戴钢与南非科学与创新部副总司长丹·杜特伊特主持会议。<br>
本次联委会旨在落实今年8月习近平主席对南非进行国事访问时双方签署的《中华人民共和国科学技术部与南非共和国科学创新部关于加强科技创新合作的谅解备忘录》等成果文件，中南双方代表围绕联合研究项目、联合实验室建设、青年科学家交流、科技减贫合作、科学院合作、创新创业合作等议题进行了深入交流，就下一阶段的合作安排达成了共识。双方一致认为，中南双方科技合作层次丰富，成果丰硕，是发展中国家之间互利共赢合作的典范，为两国全面战略伙伴关系不断发展作出了贡献。<br>
来自中科院国际合作局、中国农村技术开发中心、中国科学技术交流中心、湖北省科技厅、中非创新合作中心、中国驻南非使馆，以及南非科学院、南非技术创新署、南非人文科学研究理事会、南非外交部等中南双方机构代表30余人参加了会议。<br>
