Notice of the General Office of Shanghai Municipal People's Government on Adjusting the Urban Pension Insurance Contribution Rate in the Municipality
上海市人民政府办公厅关于调整本市城镇养老保险缴费比例的通知
This notice adjusts the employer contribution rate for Shanghai's urban pension insurance from 22.5% to 22% and the rate for self-employed individuals and their employees from 30.5% to 30%, effective August 1, 2004.

各区、县人民政府，市政府各委、办、局：<br>
为了健全和完善社会保险体系，进一步发展本市社会保险事业，结合《上海市生育保险办法》的修改，经市政府同意，从2004年8月1日起，调整本市城镇养老保险缴费比例。现将有关事项通知如下：<br>
一、本市单位缴纳城镇养老保险费的比例，由原来22.5%调整为22%。<br>
二、本市单位缴纳城镇养老保险费的比例调整后，个人缴纳养老保险费的比例按本市有关规定执行。<br>
三、本市个体工商户及其帮工缴纳城镇养老保险费的比例，由原来30.5%调整为30%。其中，个体工商户为本人和帮工缴费的比例为22%，个体工商户本人及其帮工的缴费比例为8%。<br>
四、按规定参加本市城镇养老保险的自由职业人员、非正规劳动组织从业人员，其养老保险缴费比例按照本通知第三条执行。<br>
