深圳地铁5号线西延线离开通再近一步。深圳地铁集团表示，地铁运营团队已经进场“摸底”，开始调试设备和培训演练，确保各系统达到开通标准，等着“开门迎客”。 5号线西延线起自既有5号线黄贝岭站，终至大剧院站，沿途设湖贝站、东门站、大剧院站3站，含1座换乘站（大剧院站可与1、2号线换乘）。 线路全程2.88公里，市民可直达大剧院站，轻松换乘1号线、2号线，东门站则直通商场，购物一站到位。宝安、坂田、民治片区的市民，以后去东门、大剧院也能一路直达，零换乘就到。 5号线西延线开通后，将与既有5号线实现贯通运营，形成一条总长约50.526公里的交通大动脉，有效缓解黄贝岭站在高峰时段的客流压力，极大提升中南部区域的交通便捷程度。（来源：深圳晚报）
