Shenzhen Railway will add nearly 600 passenger trains during the May Day holiday period (April 29 to May 6) to accommodate an expected surge of over 5.2 million passengers, including overnight high-speed trains and direct services to popular tourist destinations.

铁路部门表示，今年“五一”假期铁路运输期为4月29日至5月6日，共计8天。深圳铁路预计到发旅客超520万人次，日均65万人次；深圳北站预计到发旅客超360万人次，日均45万人次。预计离深客流最高峰在5月1日，深圳铁路发送旅客46万人次，深圳北站发送旅客30万人次。 为了满足旅客出行需求，深圳铁路在“五一”假期加开旅客列车近600趟，主要覆盖省内广州、汕尾、潮汕和湖南、广西等旅游、探亲热门方向，当中也包括了夜间高铁，为旅客提供更多的出行选择。此外，针对旅游热门地，深圳东站还加开了往返海口的直达列车。（来源：深圳晚报）
