8月15日至9月8日，大鹏新区安委办分别派出2个督导组，采取现场核查等方式，对新区前阶段11个涉及报送“零”重大事故隐患的行业领域开展专项督导检查，重点核查报送“零”重大事故隐患有关单位现场安全管理状况和相关企业主要负责人履行安全生产工作职责情况，共延伸抽查生产经营单位36家，督导发现并转办一般事故隐患67项，督导发现并处理重大事故隐患9项。 检查发现查不出、不愿查、不愿报的现象不同程度存在；个别领域宣传动员仍不深不实，责任压力未有效传导至末端。对此，各相关单位要提高政治站位，严格落实责任；加强业务培训，提升整治质效；精准严格执法，强化监管力度。多采取“四不两直”、明查暗访等方式对企业主要负责人履行安全生产主体责任及现场重大事故隐患开展精准严格执法，避免走形式、走过场。对发现的重大事故隐患问题要紧盯不放，严禁以罚代管、以罚代改、罚而不管。
